Comics for July 16, 2011 - Dead Pan

Well, I found this ‘comic’ on my computer after creating it using Brushes.

As far as I can remember I hadn’t uploaded it to the site, so I thought I would!

So, by this rate you’ll get a new comic every few years

Well it’s not really a comic, but I thought I’d share something I did for a friends site.
I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I did a comic.

I’ve had all sorts of problems with my pc and getting hold of software to make the comics, and haven’t quite worked out when to fit this in to married life, but if I’m honest I probably could have done some at some point, even if not once a week.

I have started sketching some ideas out, but need to look at my process as it currently takes a lot of time to make a comic, partly due to using photopaint rather than photoshop, something I’m thinking about changing.

I also am going to be a bit more relaxed about style and ‘cleanness’ of the comics, some of them may come out a bit more sketchy than before, and indeed perhaps each one will have a different style, one that suits the comic rather than trying to be close to what has come before.

So, I’m not making any promises, but perhaps you might see something new here at some point, and if there is, I’ll be sure to let you all know.

So, basically there was a problem with the old sites cms that meant we lost a few comics, and when Phil reinstalled the cms the extra things that needed doing to make it work as intended were a pain.

Then he came by comicpress, and hey presto some php hosting and wordpress install and here we are.

The only trouble is I need to reupload the entire 5 years of comics and blogs needs to be recreated. I’ve started but it will be a while before things are fully working.

Rewatching Thundercats inspired this comic.
In case you don’t know Mumm-ra is the ever living source of evil (so he says)
and there you go. you can almost imagine the sexy white or black background smooth advert with cheesy voice over, can’t you?

The site will be moving to another server sometime over the next few days, so you might find you can’t get to it…
If that’s the case you won’t be able to read this…in which case sit down on a chair and stare blankly at the nearest wall.

Comics for September 26, 2007 - Taking The Piss

True story, yes this actually happened.
I’ve been meaning to make this comic for, well, probably years.
When looking for a comic to do this one was top of the list.

It’s a bit strange to put this up, as Garfield sadly passed away on the 6th of September.
He’d had some eye problems for a while, but recently he got a lot worse and couldn’t see or hear very far.
It’s been really hard times of late, and this just one of the things going on.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the comic, I hope to do some more with Garf’s in.
